So sorry for the lack of content during this month of May. Between work and travel, I’ve had barely a moment to upgrade WordPress (again!) and insert more anti-spam plugins into the restless machinery that drives this site forward.

However, I’ve finally gotten some time to start writing up the Moroccan Chronicles, which shall begin appearing - backdated for my convenience - over the next few days. I’ll try to get them all up before the Next Big Thing hits.

As it turns out, it will hit on Wednesday night. I’ll be going up for a month-long visit to Reykjavík, and I’ve finally remedied my cameralessness, so I promise the introduction of photography. Sobriety, however, is not guaranteed.

I spent a few hours over the last couple days dinking with a few things. First and foremost, thanks to J-Bla of American Hooligans for the work on my banner logo. If you’re not seeing text up top, hard-refresh the page (hold CTRL on Windows, CMD on OSX). I also installed an anti-spam plug-in, so if you have trouble posting comments or something, e-mail me. There’s a few more things behind the scenes, but those haven’t been employed outside of a testing context yet.

Anyway, things are running pretty smoothly, so if my “closed beta” guys don’t report issues over the next week, I think it’ll be time to take this sucker public. Excitement!

Yeah yeah, crappy joke, whatever. This thing looks to be purring like a kitten. Needs a little touch-up here and there, perhaps. Still, not bad for an afternoon’s work.

I’ve been thinking of setting up a dev-blog thing for a while now. As things are moving along on the relocation front, and I can pretty confidently say I’ll be taking off for the next stop on the World Tour fairly soon, I decided to get the shit going while I wait for Honda to call me back.

I’m still not entirely sure what precise purpose MFS is going to end up serving. It’s not going to subsume SB, which I’ll probably keep private for the existing SB crowd, and I don’t intend on tossing up a MFS forum. I know I intend to post, uh, posts about stops on the World Tour, as well as photographs. Maybe some gaming stuff. Who knows?
